Who is Tormoz.az?

Tormoz.az is a specialized online platform built for the Azerbaijani market, selling automotive brake pads. Our goal is simple: to make it easy for every driver to find the brake pad that exactly matches their car's brand, model, production year and engine type.

Fomar Friction

Fomar has been manufacturing braking system components since 1956 and has been known as "Fomar Friction" since 2004. In 2012 it was acquired by the US-based MAT Holdings Inc. and merged with Roulunds Braking. This merger enabled Fomar Friction to grow and expand in the passenger car and truck segments. A modern research center in Denmark, MAT Holdings' expertise and additional investment resources create the conditions for continuous product quality improvement and range expansion.

Fomar Friction products undergo continuous quality control during design and manufacturing, ensuring compliance with ISO 26865, ISO 26866 and Regulation 90 (ECE) standards. Products are then road-tested under various conditions across Europe. In cooperation with Polish transport companies and government bodies, real-world mileage, braking effectiveness and ride comfort are evaluated. Joint trials with Warsaw's ZTM in the 2017/2018 season confirmed the wear resistance and ride comfort of the newest materials.
